Accessibility Statement

How DocHost works and our commitment to accessibility.

How DocHost Works

DocHost is a multi-tenant document hosting and viewing application by a3s.app. Documents are resolved per tenant (via subdomain) and served through signed, time-limited access tokens. PDFs are converted to HTML for web viewing; documents live in tenant-specific storage and are delivered only through our secure API routes. Direct access to raw document paths is blocked by our proxy to protect sensitive content.

Our Accessibility Commitment

We aim to make DocHost usable by as many people as possible, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice control.

  • Semantic HTML: Headings, landmarks, and lists structure content for screen readers and assistive tech.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus rings on inputs and links for keyboard users.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG contrast guidelines.
  • Descriptive labels: Form controls and icons have appropriate labels or aria attributes.
  • Responsive layout: Layout adapts to screen size and zoom levels.

Document Content

The accessibility of individual documents (e.g., PDFs converted to HTML) depends on the source material. We recommend that document authors follow accessibility best practices when creating source content. If you encounter a document that is difficult to use, please contact us so we can work with the document owner to improve it.

Feedback & Contact

If you experience barriers using DocHost or have suggestions for improvement, we want to hear from you. Contact us at a3s.app/contact. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within a reasonable timeframe.
